What Jobs Are Available
The organization needs people for different departments. Here’s what they’re hiring for:
- Manager – This is a senior position. You’ll run a department, handle teams, and do planning work
- Assistant Manager – You’ll help the manager and take care of daily tasks
- Sub Engineer – Technical work like equipment maintenance and project handling
- Technician – Fixing and maintaining machinery
- Computer Operator – Data entry, computer work, and office tasks
Who Can Apply
This part is really important. If you don’t meet these requirements, your application will get rejected. So check carefully first.
Education You Need
For Manager and Assistant Manager, you need at least a Bachelor’s degree. But honestly, if you have a Master’s degree, your chances are much better. My friend had an MBA and that really helped him.
Your degree must be from an HEC-recognized university. If you studied at a private university, check the HEC website to make sure it’s recognized. If you have a foreign degree, you’ll need an equivalence certificate from HEC.
For Sub Engineer, you need either DAE or an Engineering degree. The DAE should be from a technical board with at least Second Division marks. For Computer Operator, you need a Bachelor’s degree with computer skills or an IT diploma.
Age Limits
You must be at least 21 years old. The maximum age is usually between 30 and 35, depending on the position. But there’s good news if you’re a bit older.
Government employees get 5 extra years. Disabled persons get 10 years. If you’re from Balochistan, FATA, AJK, or Gilgit-Baltistan, you get 5 extra years too. Just make sure you have the right certificates.
Do You Need Experience
Good news for fresh graduates – you don’t need experience for entry-level jobs. Assistant Manager and Computer Operator positions are open to people who just finished their studies.
For Manager positions, they prefer 3-5 years of experience. But if you have really good marks and a strong degree, you can still try.
How to Apply – Step by Step
Here’s exactly what you need to do. Follow these steps carefully:
Step 1: Get the Advertisement
Find the Daily Jang newspaper from January 21st. Or download it from the organization’s website. Read the whole thing – don’t skip anything.
Step 2: Prepare Your Documents
You’ll need these things: CNIC copies (both sides), all your educational certificates (starting from Matric), domicile certificate, passport-size photos, experience certificates if you have them, and a character certificate. Everything needs to be attested by a Gazetted Officer.
From my experience, getting documents attested takes time. Don’t leave it for the last minute. Start now.
Step 3: Fill the Form
Download the form from the website. Fill it neatly in block letters. Make sure everything is correct – your CNIC number, phone number, email address. Double-check everything.
Step 4: Pay the Fee (If Required)
Check the advertisement to see if there’s a fee. Usually it’s around 500-1000 rupees. You’ll pay it through a bank challan at NBP or HBL. Keep the receipt safe.
Step 5: Submit Everything
You can apply online through the website. Or you can send it by courier. Use TCS or Leopards – they’re reliable. Don’t use Pakistan Post for important documents.
The deadline is February 2nd. I suggest you submit by January 30th. Last-minute problems can happen.
Common Questions
Can fresh graduates apply?
Yes, definitely. Assistant Manager and Computer Operator positions are open to fresh graduates. If you did any internships, mention those too.
How much is the fee?
Check the advertisement. It’s usually 500-1000 rupees paid through bank challan. Never give cash to anyone – that would be a scam.
Where do I get documents attested?
Any Gazetted Officer (BPS-17 or higher) can attest your documents. You’ll find them in government offices or universities.
My Advice for You
Let me tell you something most people don’t know. When you prepare for the test, focus a lot on current affairs. Note down important news from the last 6 months. Government policies, development projects, economic issues – these topics come up in the test.
Also practice writing English essays. Topics like “Role of Youth in Development” or “Pakistan’s Economic Challenges” are common. Practice writing these.
And here’s another tip – don’t wait until they call you for the test to start preparing. The test usually happens 3-4 weeks after the deadline. Start studying as soon as you submit your application.
Government jobs are selected purely on merit. Work hard, be honest, and give it your best shot. Good luck with your application!
